A minute of silence was held at the start of the match for Sergi López Segú and Josep Puyol. It was a tragic week for FC Barcelona when Sergi López Segú, brother of two other former Barca players Gerard and Juli, as well as Josep Puyol, father of barca captain Carles Puyol died over the weekend. Carles Puyol witnessed the minute of silence from the box of honour.
