Former Spain international and FC barcelona idol Josep Guardiola has announced his retirement from football yesterday. The 35-year old midfielder and former member of Bsarca´ss dreamteam in the 90´ won 47 caps for Spain and 6 Primera Liga titles. The highlight in his career, for sure, was the win of the European Cup in 1992 at Wembley.
After spening 11 years at Barca, "Pep" Guardiola left in 2001. Guardiola then played for Brescia and AS Roma in Italy, Al-Ahly in Quatar and Dorados de Sinaloa in Mexico.




Pep Guardiola explained his retirement to catalan radio station RAC-1:

Although in my head I want to play, my body has said enough is enough.




Guardiola now plans to take up a coaching job.
