Barca coach Rijkaard made clear on Saturday´s pre-match press conference that the team and staff is completely focussed on Sunday's match against Real Mallorca. He explained that the Mallorca match is very important and will not be taken easy despite the fact that the team has a vital Champions League clash against Levski Sofia next Wednesday. here are some of his press conference comments:


About resting players for the CL match:

We won't get into that mentality. It's a complicated ground and we must not think about anything else. We will prepare normally for a league match.

About Mallorca´s coach Manzano´s intention to change style against Barca:

The manager and a number of players have said they may change their style of play against us but that's not what they've done in the past. It's an enigma. We'll see if they take risks or if they sit back and look for Maxi.

About Barca on loan player Maxi López

I'm really happy that he's playing. He deserves it. He was with us for a year and a half and had an exemplary attitude. I wish him the best.

About new signings in the winter transfer window:

I hope there aren't any more injuries but we have to look forward to the upcoming matches. In football you always have to focus on the present and for the moment we're saying calm. However, I can't say what may happen in the future.

About super talent Giovanni Dos Santos:

He made a good impression in the pre-season. He's a talented player who will get his chance. It'll be important when Rafa Márquez gets dual nationality because that will mean there'll be an extra place and that there is a place for a player like Giovanni Dos Santos.

About his own future at the club:

It's not just what I think. I could say I want to work here all my life but that's not realistic. I can't say what will happen in the future because the most important thing is the Club, independently of the manager.
