First time since joining FC Barcelona two years ago, former Athletic Bilbao striker Santiago Ezquerro admitted that he is ready to quit Camp Nou. The Basque forward moved to Camp Nou in the summer of 2005 on a Bosman free transfer from Athletic Bilbao, but was not been able to appear as a regular ever since. The 30-year-old Ezquerro has made only five La Liga starts in over 18 months, despite Barca´s injury misery in attack.

Ezquerro was linked with several clubs, like real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao and English Premier League side Everton in the January transfer window. Santi Ezquerro admits admits he will look to leave FC Barcelona in the summer:

It's certain that I have not enjoyed many opportunities and much chance to establish myself which is what I want, so we will see what happens at the end of the season. Throughout my career I have been at teams where they want me to play and bring things to the team, so for that reason this situation is not easy to take. I have never lost my desire to play and from now until the end of the season, or however long I stay here, I will give everything. I believe my attitude cannot be questioned. Signing for Barcelona is something unforgettable that few footballers get to experience. What's more to be in the best team in the world at a time when they are winning things is something players dream about. But on a professional level everybody wants to feel like a player and I want to have more opportunities.
