Several Barcelona based sports newspapers reported today that FC Barcelona will bid for Liverpool´s midfielder Xabi Alonso in the summer. Barca have also being linked with Manchester United´s young star Cristiano Ronaldo as well as Ajax amsterdam´s Wesley Snijder.
While Chelsea´s Frank Lampard has been a reported target and Lampard´s as well as his agents claims that there is uncertainty about the midfielder´s stay at Chelsea in the next season, a transfer to Camp Nou had ben speculated, but Catalan sources claim Xavi Alonso is the Blaugrana´s main priority. FC Barcelona are expected to strengthen their midfield in the summer.
Another player, targetted for the summer is young Ajax forward Wesley Sneijder. the Blaugrana are aware of his skills and already have him on their list for a while. It is widely expected that Sneijder will leave the Amsterdam Arena during this summer and Barca will be one of his suitors.
