FC Barcelona goalkeeper Víctor Valdés attended Monday´s official press conference after the training and has praised the performance of his FC Barcelona team-mates after the 2-0 victory against Racing Santander on Sunday evening. Valdes became an instant hero during the game when he made a superb penalty save. After saving the penalty, Valdés received praises from the stands and was honoured by the Camp Nou fans who sang his name during the game. The keeper wanted to thank everyone for their support and the warmth that he was shown following his penalty save.

Here is a selection of his comments during the press conference:

It was a very difficult game. Racing played very well at the back. But our patience and attacking ability were the keys to winning. I hope that we can continue playing like that.

We watched videos of them play and we saw that Garay had hit three penalties to his left this season. But there is also a certain amnount of luck, of course, because you just have to choose one of two sides.

We have not seen a Ronnie comeback, he has been in great form all season. I have never understood the criticism that he receives.

When asked about Samuel Eto'os refusal to come on as a substitute in the last 5 minutes of the game:

That is something that you will have to ask Samuel about. But I will say that he is a great player and I hope that he comes back to play at full strength very soon as he is the best striker in the world.
