Former Barca player Mark Van Bommel showed that he still carries a lot of Blaugrana blood inside him.
My former neighbour in Gavà, at the coast south of Barcelona, before he finally moved to Munich is known as a calm, kind and friendly man. But yesterday night, he showed all his passion when he scored the 2-3 for Bayern Munich against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu that lend the germans a life line for the second leg at the Allianz Arena.
First Van Bommel silenced the home crowed with a superb goals from outside the penalty box and then brought the Bernabeu to boil with his rude gestures during his goal celebartion towards the home crowd.
Bayern Munich midfielder Mark van Bommel has apologised for his rude gestures after scoring, but insisted that he had permanently wound up by most of the Merengue players. Ex-Blaugrana Van Bommel explained:
I want to apologise to the Real supporters, I have got nothing against them, only against some of their players. They insulted me all the match and called me "Puto Barca". I have to apologize, but when you score a goal of this importance, emotions overflow.
Mark Van Bommel really spoilt the party for the Merengues. Only minutes before, the Real crowd started to celebrate their victory by shouting "Olé" everytime a player of Madrid touched the ball. With Van Bommel´s goal everything is open again and the return match will promise a heated encounter. yesterday, we saw the first chapter of the long lasting rivalry... the second chapter will follow in Munich soon!
