"Big Ears" left Barcelona for Athens

As tradition demands since 1997, the European Cup was handed over prior to the quarter final draw by current Champions FC Barcelona, to new UEFA president Michel Platini, so it can be displayed in Athens, who hosts the final this year. President Joan Laporta, Txiki Begiristain, Albert Perrín and Ludovic Giuly have attended the ceremony.

UEFA president Platini will handed the European Cup to the mayor of Athens Nikitas Kaklamanis. Athens will put the trophy on public display until the final takes place at the Olympic Stadium on the 23rd of May.

So, finally "Big Ears" left the Barca Museum. Have a last look! I am sure it will come back in the next years!
