There has been a lot of gossip in the international press during the last weeks concerning a possible transfer of Ronaldinho to AC Milan. these rumours have been now categorical denied from both sides, FC Barcelona and AC Milan. Both Clubs keep excellent relations.
Here are a few statements that deny any possible transfer this summer: Barcelona Vice-President Ferran Soriano has denied reports of a possible Ronaldinho move away from the Nou Camp: All rumours about Ronaldinho’s transfer to Milan are a joke. Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani stated that the news was not true and that they are not interested in buying Ronaldinho. In any case, we are not a club which is keen on selling and we believe that none of our players want to leave. AC Milan´s Vice-President Adriano Galliani explained: I don’t want to put pressure on anyone. Ronaldinho still has three years on his contract and I don’t think there are any problems with the club. If he decides to change, he knows that Milan are here, ready to welcome him, but I do not want another Kaka situation. Barca coach Frank Rijkaard told Cartalan radio station RAC 1: I just hope that both, Ronaldinho and Eto’o, stay with Barca. I feel that the players feel at ease here and I truly desire all the big names to stay. When the star players are really committed to the club then there’s no need for anything more than slight adjustments. Barça doesn’t need a revolution. Ronaldinho has made a great effort for the team, above all when both, Messi and Eto’o, have been missing through injury. He decided many games with his performances. Belletti had a clear opinion about Ronaldinho on the press conference yesterday, after extending his own contract: I've been in this profession for many years and it's a reality that we're at that stage of the season when everyone talks about who will be joining and leaving each team. Ronaldinho is happy at Barca, he's always said so. We all know what Ronadinho is like, what he's given to the Club. He's a point of reference for everyone. I would like him to stay. Player and club are a marriage.
