FC Barcelona Blog wishes Ronaldinho all the best to his 27th Birthday and many, many more years at the Camp Nou!!!


We all remember probably the time and date (21st of July 2003) when the Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho arrived at Camp Nou. Before his arrival, there was a depressive period for any Barca fan. A period of 6 years without silverware and a club without leadership and no direction. Magic, much magic was needed to turn the Barca ship around. At this time, looking back it seemed to be a mission impossible.
But the Magician with the unbelievable skills and his always existend smile, in fact, brought back the joy and delight of every Culé. A new successful era started and has not finished yet.


Ronaldinho came from PSG, a juggler with the ball and undoubtfully one of the world´s biggest talents, but still not having crossed the line that separates the artist from a genius. Barca (and Rijkaard) made him great and in return Ronaldinho brought back the success to the Camp Nou.

In his first season 2003/2004 the never resting Ronaldinho delighted the fans with his technical skills, incredible dribblings and beautiful goals. It was not enough to win the Championship but for the Culés, he brought back the desire to enjoy their visit to the Camp Nou with his extraodinary entertaining style.


In the season 2004/2005 and 2005/2006, Ronnie brought us back the trophies and silverware, including the so desperate wanted European Cup. Since Ronaldinho joined Barca 3 years ago, the Club won 2 Championships and 1 European Cup. The third La Liga titles is in reach and there is also a good chance to win the Copa Del Rey again, a trophy that Barca won the most but not since 1999.


In his 4th year at Barca the first critics arrived. Discussions about his weight started and photos of "BEFORE" and "AFTER" had been published.
His best answer are 19 goals and a "partial" striptease on the pitch with an ironical smile, showing that his body is in excellent shape.
