Chelea´s out of favour winger arjen Robben has been linked with a move to Barcelona, but reports claim that the Blaugrana were unwilling to meet Chelsea´s asking price of about € 20 mill.

But a FIFA law allows players under 28 to leave for a club in a foreign country once they have spent three years of there contract there. If Chelsea winger Arjen Robben will take advantage of the FIFA law, the Dutch international could be on his way to Camp Nou in the summer for a cut price of approx. as € 6 mill.

Andy Webster, the former Hearts defender, took advantage of the FIFA rule when he freed himself out of his contract and moved to Wigan last summer.

Robben moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2004 and has therefore spent 3 years with the Blues at the end of the season. Barca simply has to pay Robben´s 2 year salary as a transfer compensation for his contract until 2009. Robben´s salary is estimated at € 3 mill. per year.
