Newspaper reports suggested that Independiente president, Julio Comparada, flew into Barcelona and further talks over the transfer of the young goal keeper Oscar Ustari are expected. Ustari himself is confident the move will go through. The young Argentine goalkeeper is delighted by the prospect of joining FC Barcelona and play with the Barca stars. The 20-year-old goalkeeper is reported to have signed a pre-contract agreement with FC Barcelona but Independiente is still holding out for a € 10 mill. transfer fee.


Ustari stated that he would be honoured to play in the same team as Ronaldinho:

I am a goalkeeper, but I like to watch outfield players. Ronaldinho is magnificent and I would be proud to play at Barcelona alongside him.

This would complete a dream of mine, which has always been to go to Europe to play. I have joked many times with Messi that I could join him at Barca.

La Liga is very competitive, but I think I would adapt very well.
