FC Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard had not doubts that his team Barca deserved to beat Real Sociedad on Sunday. Rijkaard was happy with the Blaugrana´s performance, even the team wasted too many chancs again. Rijkaard especially mentioned Ronaldinho, who was instrumental in both goals as he supplied the opener and then sent Samuel Eto'o clear with for the second goal in the closing minutes.

We played well and I think the team deserved to win such an important game away from home. In the first half, the opposition was well organised at the back, but we created some good chances that we failed to finish off. After the restart and after it became 1-0, Real Sociedad opened up a bit more and that meant we had more opportunities to play deep.

We wanted Ronaldinho to play in the middle to create through balls like that. That way he participated more. His passes were undoubtedly masterful and important.

We have to carry on working hard and only worry about ourselves, but we have won our game, now let's see what happens on Sunday.

The players were all hugging each other and celebrating the win together.
