Mexico and FC Barcelona defender, Rafa Marquez, hopes to commence playing soon as a special recovery programme has been designed for him.
Barcelona’s hard-working defender, Rafa Marquez, will have to wait a moment longer before returning to full action on the pitch.
This comes after a decision by Barca’s medical services unit to engage the Mexican ace in developmental monitoring through rehabilitation, even after they declared him fit following almost a month of treatment. This, according to the medics, will ensure his full strength is restored on the injured area.
The decision was further influenced by Marquez's unsatisfactory response to medical tests prior to being fielded against Levante.
Marquez sustained an injury to his right leg last month and has been undergoing treatment since then.
The player is expected to return to full action soon after successfully going through this recently designed special recovery programme for him.
