Theirry Henry and his links with FC Barcelona may after all be taking greater shape as the Gunners plan ahead of Striker Henry's possible exit.

Arsenal has made recent moves toward signing Michael Owen from Newcastle, fuelling greater interest in the news about Thierry Henry's decision to quit the North Londoners for a new base elsewhere, top among the destinations being Camp Nou to pitch tent with Barcelona FC. Even rumours of a possible swoop between Newcastle and Arsenal for Owen and Henry are not as strong as the Spanish angle of the story concerning Barcelona's interest in his transfer.

This latest move toward Owen by Arsenal FC is seen as an early shop for a competent striker of similar status as Henry who will fill the obvious space his departure will leave in the Arsenal attack.

Having expressed recent dissatisfaction with the club management and with the way things have taken a turn at Arsenal, Thierry has reportedly had stronger convictions toward re-establishing his career elsewhere to gain the much needed fresh boost and motivation he needs to once again ascend the goal throne as he is used to, which made fans dub him with the nick name King Henry.

As the Spanish season still has a tension soaked one month left to go, lots of activities will no doubt take place both openly and behind closed doors. Activities and transfers are expected to peak after the Spanish season ends.

No matter the nature of transfer methods and negotiations used however, time will always tell where each and every player will commence next season in, especially a high profile player like Thierry Henry.
