Rafa's aim of building on the recent success of Liverpool is taking higher dimensions as he launches out on Barcelona and on the transfer market well ahead of many Premiership rivals.

As Barcelona searches outside its shores for players to build next season's super squad, a reach at one of its key players, Samuel Eto'o continues to become more intensive. Liverpool have taken a step ahead of both Manchester United and Arsenal in the threesome's bid for Barcelona Striker, Samuel Eto'o.

A list by the coach at Anfield, Rafa Benitez, reveals that Eto'o heads a set of short listed players which include Fernando Torres of Atletico Madrid.

Torres is shortlisted as possible replacement for Barca's Sam Eto'o should difficulty arise in their bid to secure the services of the Cameroon goal poacher. Liverpool fear that a likely price tag of nothing less than 50 Million Euros and a steep road toward successfully completing any planned transfer of the Barcelona striker may be too much for them to handle and should that be the case, then Fernando Torres should be next in line with hopes that a 30 Million Euro fee and less complexity in securing the Atletico forward's signature will be more accessible in the near term.

Getting Eto'o to the English remiership is a dream of Benitez as he feels Sammy will be ideal in the Red colours at Anfield. Perhaps the American financiers of Liverpool may share same dream and decide to give the Get Eto'o slogan a priority.
