Players of various clubs have joined in the quest to influence who comes and who stays in their clubs as the transfer window is set to fly open soon.

Latest advice from players include Barcelona's Xavi and Liverpool's Luis Garcia.

Xavi has urged his club to put in greater effort to sign Arsenal's Thierry Henry, saying that:

If the final decision were left to me, I will sign Henry with my eyes closed. I won't even give it second thought.
Henry always scores important goals especially when it matters most. This is exactly the sort of player we need at Barca.

Thierry Henry has reportedly lost affection for his Premiership side, Arsenal and have been heavily linked with Barcelona in cntinuation of last season's unsuccessful bid for him by the Spanish giants. He and the NorthLondon club still say he is an Arsenal play, but at least for now, they are quick to add.

Also, Liverpool's Luis Garcia has said he looked forward to playng with Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o next season in Liverpool, but will also like to do so alongside his fellow team mate, Xabi Alonso, whose postion may be threatened if Eto'o should come to Liverpool. Garcia says:

I will like to play alongside Eto'o , but will not change him for Xabi Alonso. Eto'o is good, a wonderful forward and no doubt, one of the best in Europe, but Xabi is also a master of his own position and no one does it better than him in that area.

Samuel Eto'o has been linked to several top clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United, Ac milan and Inter Milan, but the Barcelona star has kept insisting he will remain in Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have been alerted about the availability of Sevilla's recently capped Brazilian attacking sensation, Alves.
According to his agent, the 24-year old will be likely traded on the markets this summer as his performance has attaracted a lot interest across Europe.

Expectedly, high bids and cash will follow.
