With Liverpool and Manchester United stepping out of the race, and Arsenal footdragging, AC Milan may have schemed their way into pole-position.
In continuation of AC Milan's quest for Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o, a meeting is expected to be held between officials of the two clubs next week in order to iron out issues and know if they can strike a common cord of understanding on wether the Cameroonian star will remain at Camp Nou or will leave to join the Rossoneri as from next season.
On the trump cards of Milan will be offers such as:
*A six year contract offer for Samuel Eto'o to play in AC Milan.
*An initial payment of 40 Million Euros for Eto'o.
*Commencement of talks on also securing Thiago Motta and Edmilson.
Rossoneri Vice-President, Adriano Galliani will spearhead talks from the Milan side. The Italian official has remained in the news ever since his hawkish-style approach to the Eto'o transfer request generated a lot of uproar.
Samuel Eto'o has been in blistering form since joining Barcelona and his over 223 goals in Spanish football alone speaks well for him.
The saga yet continues.
