An official statement from the man at the centre of the controversy, Thierry Henry himself has sought to explain transfer rumours.

Barcelona officials have received the latest statement made by Thierry Henry in good faith, while still keeping a tab him. The Arsenal Captain sought to clarify transfer issues linking him to the Catalan giants. He says:

Nothing is done. I repeat, nothing.
At this moment I am an Arsenal player and in the same situation as I was last year.

Last season people were announcing all over the place that I was leaving. Some people wrote that it would happen for sure but at the end of the day I stayed at Arsenal. It could be the same this year.

I've not taken any decision and my name is not up on any departures board. If something happens, I will tell everybody.

The main point which conitnues to propel rumours of enry's exit from Arsenal is often generated by the player himself, who often uses doubt-inducing phrases like For now, at this moment, it could be the same, if something happens and similar expressions that suggest he is not happy at his present club or not really firm in his resolve to remain there.

Barcelona officials say they continue to monitor developments concerning Thierry.
