Barca and Man U put heads together to accomplish crossover transfers.


Former Premiership player, Eidur Gudjohnsen and former Barcelona player, Gerard Pique will both be on their ways back to their former locations if all goes according to plan.
Barcelona and Manchester United are trying to work out ways of exchange the two players to effect a smooth and effective, almost zero-money-cost transfer.


Gudjohnsen wants to headback to the English Premiership, but this time to play for Premiership giants, Manchester United and not his former club Chelsea, while Gerard Pique will head back to Barcelona to fortify the defence line of the Blaugrana, a position he excelled in before he left Barca in 2004. Pique appeared briefly for Man U before he was loaned out to Real Zaragoza, the Spanish rivals of Barcelona. His great performance in Zaragoza's central defence this season, was very impressive and now, the Catalan giants want their player back.

20-year old Pique is ready to move back to Camp Nou if he can be gauranteed he has an important role to play in Barca next season.


Manchester's erstwhile Manager, Sir Alex Fergusson has not hidden his longtime admiration for Barca's Eidur Gudjohnsen and sees this move as a long awaited opportunity to bring him to Old Trafford.
The Reds have been strongly linked to Gudjohnsen who they value his diverse skills and use as a utility forward, and a posible replacement for Henrik Larsson, while being a suitable replica of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or Louis Saha.

The 28-year old Icelandic striker is pleased with the interests.


Decision on the moves will climax aster the current Spanish season ends.
