Father and agent of Barca star Gudjohnsen employs hush-hush approach to speculations on son's future.
As the news hit headlines of the swap deal gaining ground between Barcelona's Eidur Gudjohnsen and Man U defender Gerard Pique, reactions came from different quarters.
The latest word on one of the recent transfer buzzes is coming from the Eidur Gudjohnsen Sr, who says the transfer rumours remain as rumours and nothing official has begun. He explains:

At this stage, nothing is going on. I have not been contacted yet. Barcelona are focusing on their final La Liga game and nothing is expected to happen till after that. When the season ends, we shall see what will take place.
Eidur is probably happy at Barca and wants to be given another chance to stay on and prove himself. He already did that during the Christmas period when he stood in well for injured Samuel Eto'o and he wants to prove himself further next season at Camp Nou.
Gudjohnsen Jr has indicated some degree of interest in staying at Barcelona, but has also said he wants a place where he will enjoy more playing time.
West Ham are interested in giving him that opportunity by bringing him over to the Premiership where adapting will not be a problem for him as he has already played for Bolton Wanderers and enjoyed top flight action with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United are also keen on bringing him to Old Trafford where he will enjoy the blessing of Team manager, Alex Fergusson who likes Eidur's style of play.
