Barcelona players have reacted to the match and the eventual outcome of the final day showdown in the Spanish Primera.


Young and hard-fighting midfield revelation, Iniesta was downcast, but has quickly picked up courage and is now focusing on the road ahead to next season's challenges.
Iniesta says:

For the season to end like this is indeed a sad thing. We tried our best and always sought to win everytime. We stayed on top and led the league for so many weeks till this final moments. We are disappointed.
However, this is an important opportunity for us to study all our past efforts and see where things wrong and why they did, then ensure it does not happen again. We shall return next season and fight for every trophy that is at stake.

Xavi agrees with Iniesta. The creative midfield gem rebukes their errors and looks ahead with confidence:

This is a good lesson for us and we must learn from it. I think we were overconfident at a certain stage and this is one mistake we will never make again. Our great success of last season must have given us too much confidence for this season. But there is still next season. We as a team have a bright future ahead and shall attain greater heights.

Barcelona will open the La Liga challenge next season when the new Spanish League season starts in August this year.
