Cameroonian star accepts changes and new role at FC Barcelona.

FC Barcelona striker, Samuel Eto'o has commended the recent changes taking place in Camp Nou, and has given himself to submission under the authority of Coach Frank Rijkaard and Club President, Joan Laporta along with other members of the Blaugrana administration.
The Cameroon goal merchant welcomed the propsed new code of conduct which Laporta has stated is on the way and which Rijkaard also referred to in his recent exclusive interview. Eto'o agrees:

In any place where there is a group, there are rules to respect. We have been fortunate that Frank and Jan have given us some freedom or, in other words, responsibility. If they believe that the rules have to be tightened, then it is probably right.

On the much publicised internal crisis among Barca players last season, along with incidents at the dressing room as purpoted, Eto'o explains that the matter was largely blown out of proportion by the Press, news hounds and rumour mongers:

We will have to learn from what we have been through, so that the press have less room to criticise. There should not be so many leaks and we have to learn that our dirty linen should only be aired in the changing room.

Speaking on any chance of him giving some chance to transfer talks this summer, Eto'o reacted, affirming:

The talk about Milan is over. Laporta and the board have said that I am staying and I have always said to them that I never thought about leaving. I am excited about the plans for next season. The fact that the club have made it clear that they want me is great too. I have a close relationship with the president and can say that I would stay here for life because of him.

Samuel Eto'o and Ronaldinho have been shortlisted to be retained by FC Barcelona ahead of next season's campaign.

Eto'o had previuosly been linked with English Premiership sides like Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, while top Serie A clubsides like AC Milan and Inter Milan have openly coveted the Barca star forward.
