Thierry Henry will be presented by FC Barcelona today at 1700hrs. This was made known by Barcelona club management after Henry flew into the city yesterday in a private jet and was received by Barca Vice-President, Ferran Soriano. Henry took some mintues to respond to the presence of the press while acknowledging cheers from the excited Barca fans who came to see their new player. On arrival, Thierry Henry said:

It means a lot to come here and play with some of the best players in the world. It is incredible and I am looking forward to playing in the Camp Nou and helping the team in every way I can. It is an honour to be here and I am sure I will represent FC Barcelona the best I can.

Thierry henry was still full of praises for FC Barcelona as he said:

Barça is more than a club. Everybody knows about Barça. The most important thing that has made me come is the way Barça plays, the fans and the support they give. Without good fans it is difficult to have a good team and viceversa. Their style of play is very attractive and has attracted me.

Thierry Henry has been closely monitoring activities and information about FC Barcelona through former Barcelona Youth Team Star and Arsenal teammate, Cesc Fabregas. Thierry Henry's schedule today is as follows:

Early Morning Activity:

Medical Test

Late Morning Activities:

1.)Confirmation of player fitness and sorting out of minor outstanding contract details.

2.)This will be followed by the signing of the contract afterwards.

Afternoon Activities:

1.)Lunch with FC Barcelona officials and Team Management.

2.)Unveiling of Thierry Henry and presentation to the Press at The Paris Room in Camp Nou.

3.)Official presentation with FC Barcelona shirt and first appearance at Camp Nou as a Barcelona player in Barca uniform.

It is expected to be a very exciting ceremony with a lot of anticipation from Barca fans from the certified goalking.

I am sad that Thierry has left Arsenal, as he is probably the greatest player in our club's history. However, he is leaving one great club to join another certainly of the same calibre and class.

He will now be in the same lineup with the world's number one player Ronaldinho (sorry Ricky Kaka). He had to fulfill his dream. Following the footsteps of Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Stoitchkov and Eto'o, Henry is next in line of great Azulgrana attackers.

I wish him all the best at FC Barcelona and will certainly be following Barca's results as I have all my life. If Arsenal and FC Barcelona meet, then my emotions will probably get the better of me.

Hopefully Thierry takes La Liga and makes it his own playground just as he did with the EPL, when he was heads and shoulders above everybody else.

Suerte

Until next time

El Arsenal,

great post and many thanks.

Me too wish all the best to Arsenal next season in EPL. Hopefully with 2 or 3 good signings during the summer. Why not Saviola? You can get him for free now hence his contract has expired. Should do good as a backup striker.
