Gudjohnsen Sr. gives his opinion on FC Barcelona's attacking formation next season.

Arnor Gudjohnsen has countered a recent statement by Samuel Eto'o, in which the FC Barcelona star forward forsees a constant and productive partnership between him and new signing, Thierry Henry. This partnership of the two top scorers is what Barca hopes on for prime rate goals next season. Arnor, speaking in favour of his son, Eidur Gudjohnsen, says he thinks Eidur will feature in Barca's attack on regular basis as well as Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry. Despite the seemingly filled up Barcelona attack, Gudjohnsen Sr still believes there is place for his son, Eidur Gudjohnsen. Arnor says:

I can't see Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o playing all season together. Eidur is really determined. He's training very hard here in Iceland on his vacation and he's going to be well prepared for the next season. Barcelona have told Eidur that if he's happy to stay at Braca, they are happy to have him. He's played in a team like Chelsea who had a lot of great players and had to fight for his place, it's going to be the same in Barcelona. At the moment he is a Barcelona player who still has three years left on his contract.

Arnor denies holding talks with any club for the transfer of Eidur Gudjohnsen, insisting Eidur will be in Barcelona next season and next year as well, though not ruling out a move to England later on:

I know that there has been a lot of speculation but he sees himself in Barcelona next year. I haven't been in touch with any club. I've just heard lots of rumours. He knows England well, he had a fantastic time there. He's not thinking about that at the moment but you never know what's going to happen in the future. I think England would be an obvious choice.

Eidur Gudjohnsen has indicated some interest in playing at the English Premiership after his regular appearance at FC Barcelona was not to be, and with the signing of Frenchman Thierry Henry from the English Premiership, many feel Guddy's place in Barcelona is shut out.

Newcastle United, West Ham and Celtic FC of Scotland are all thought ot be interested in Eidur Gudjohnsen.
