Barcelona's full-back reportedly attracting interest from Serie A team, AS Roma.

FC Barcelona's Brazilian right full-back, Juliano Belleti, is being linked with a move to Italian Serie A Club, AS Roma, whose officials are reportedly in Barcelona to negotiate terms of transfer of transfer with the Catalan club officials. Belleti, who hit headlines with a smashing goal in the UEFA 2006 Champions League final against Arsenal FC, has been speculated to move out of of Barca this summer, though his transfer has not been as prominent yet. Now, the 2002 FIFA World Cup winner seems more certain to leave for Italy, a country in which he already is a citizen, as Belleti holds an Italian passport. The former Cruzerio and Sao Paulo player who came to FC Barcelona from Villareal in 2004, may prefer to get more regular appearances after the Brazilian lost playing time as a result of Lilian Thuram's entrance to Barca first team where Thuram manned the right full-back position and was often chosen ahead of Juliano Belleti in team selection.
No offers have been made by AS Roma as of cash, as the Italians are once again starting negostiations on a fresh page having lost out in the proposed deal of exchanging the Italian clubs defender, Christian Chivu with Barcelona's Belleti plus cash, after the Chivu talks were stalemated.
