Ex- Barca young player, Fabregas comments on current issues about FC Barcelona and links with Arsenal FC, his life and his future.

Former FC Barcelona youth star, Cesc Fabregas has further instilled himself into the minds and hearts of Spanish youngsters after the skillful Arsenal FC youth star participated in a programme for children at the Nike Camp situated in the Catalan plains of Andorra. The kids chanted to their hero, saying loudly prayers and well wishes for Cesc, like

More progress to you ! May you become the best player in England and the best player in the world ! You shall win the English Premiership title! We also wish you very quick recovery from your injury !

Cesc Fabregas was injured in the latter part of the Premiership after he sustained bruises to his right ankle. Fabregas, however, trained in the Nike Camp and the young Arsenal FC star seems to be already set to commence full time action with Arsenal in their Premiership opener against Fulham on Saturday 11th August, 2007 at The Emirates Stadium.

Fabregas uses the mention of this opening English Premiership match to speak on the transfer news linking the gifted ex-Barcelona youth player to an exit from Arsenal and a return to FC Barcelona, and also the latest news that made the rounds few days ago and still in the media, that Real Madrid are preparing an offer which will be too hard to resist for the Catalan miracle man. On Madrid, Fabregas says:

I am a Barca fan and my parents, grandparents and whole family are Catalan and FC Barcelona fans, and shall remain hard-core Cules for life and till death. However, if in the future an offer to play for Real Madrid comes which I have to accept, it will be a very difficult decision to make because everything about me is Barcelona inclined, from my family down to my roots. But it all comes to making the best decision and knowing what's best for you, so if it comes to that, I will have to accept the right moves for me.

This comment now raises suggestions on Fabregas exiting Arsenal soon, as has been widely speculated. On clarifying his status at Arsenal FC and his relationship with Arsenal FC Coach, Arsene Wenger, Cesc says:

For now, I am with Arsenal and we are preparing for the new season. I look forward to playing in Arsenal next season, so long as Arsene Wenger will now most likely remain with the club. Things looked a bit uncertain when we were not too sure if Wenger was staying or wether he was leaving, but it seems Wenger and the Board have more or less resolved issues, so I am more confident right now. As for my relationship with Wenger, we have a very cordial relationship. There are no problems at all between him and I and we are working together with one goal.

On a possibility of a future move to FC Barcelona, Fabregas relishes an opportunity to play with former Arsenal FC teammate and inspiration, Thierry Henry:

Playing in Barcelona is an opportunity I don't think any good player will like to miss. But when you consider the fact that some of the best players in the world are there, one realises that getting a permanent place in the midfield will be difficult, but not impossible. he added of attraction of playing with Thierry Henry again is a great tempatation for me and something I will cherish to do. Unfortunately, this will not materialise this season and the focus has to shift to the coming season where I shall give my best to Arsenal FC and see how far we can go. We need to work hard next season and improve our performance. I am prepared for this and will work hard with my teammates to achieve victory.

With the exit of Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas knows the consiousness of the public are now centered around him as the youthful Spanish star has inherited the attention given to Thierry Henry while the French star was in Arsenal FC. On this issue, Fabregas says:

Well, it's really something nice when you go out on the streets and see people wearing shirts with your face on it and chanting your name. I also hear that jerseys and T-shirts with my name or face on it have sold more than any other ones in recent times at Arsenal. It makes me know that I am making a positive difference where I am and that I have a great responsibilty in which I must not fail. Now, with the exit of Henry, I know there are limitations on us at Arsenal, but there are also lots of expectations from me to carry on from where Henry stopped. I can only hope for the best. Besides, we have some other good players at Arsenal who can jointly work for victory, so it's not a one-man thing. Many teams worldwide are strengthening in all departments. Manchester recently acquired two very good and young players in Anderson and Nani. Chelsea and Liverpool are getting stronger by the day. We have to live up to our billings and perform.

Fabregas came to Spain after the season ended to cool off and familiarize with his origins and spend time with his wider family in Catalonia.

It is obvious that Fabregas wants to return to Spain as a TRUE fulfillment of his career. He CLEARLY sees Arsenal as a stepping stone. His loyalty is NOT to Arsenal, it is to WENGER.We should never have broght him to Arsenal because as soon as the time is right he will be OFF.Just when the eternally ' developing ' side is beginning to consolidate, the player we build around will leave

You just can't resist having a poke at our players can u? First Henry, now Cesc, in the future prob Merida...one would think you're obssessed with us...that's funny, concerning yourselves with little old Arsenal, when you're meant to be "Mes que un club".
