Roma pressured for Belleti after Cicinho signing hopes diminish.

AS Roma will plan to step their chase for FC Barcelona's Juliano Belleti after the Italians have been warned about the unlikely unavailablity of Real Madrid's flying right-full back, Cicinho. The two Brazilian full-backs are on the books of AS Roma, who are eager to secure the right side of their defence before the start of next season.
Cicinho, who has been down with injury, was in not-so friendly terms with former Real Madrid's coach, Fabio Capello and seemed set to leave Madrid, but with the exit of Capello, Cicinho's stay at the Bernabeu looks like it will continue for the time being. This turn of events has chased AS Roma into active contention for Barca's Belleti, another capable Brazilian who plays the same position as Cicinho, but looks more available having been permitted by FC Barcelona to leave if the right offer comes.

Roma officials have reportedly made a trip to Barcelona in a bid to know the terms and conditions for signing Belleti, with the hopes that Belleti will, while in Roma, reproduce his 2006 soccer season form that saw Barcelona lift the UEFA Champions League trophy through a late winner from the full-back after a one-all scoreline against Arsenal FC saw the final match almost going into extra-time.
