Thiago's transfer dreams receive set back.

Thiago Motta is quite disappointed with the latest decision by FC Barcelona officials not to allow the Sao Paulo-born Italian-Brazilian player leave Camp Nou as a free agent, with the hopes of making it easier for English Premiership clubs to come for him, as Thiago had already mapped out. 24 year-old Motta is keen on playing in the English Premiership, and sees the issue of placing transfer fee on him by FC Barcelona as an act which will likely deter his proposed career move. FC Barcelona however, believe Thiago Motta is a valuable player that should leave Barca for nothing less than 8 Milllion Euros.

With Middlesbrough and West ham being named as likely candidates for Thiago, Barcelona may reconsider reducing the asking price to somewhere within the 5 Million Euro mark, to enable Thiago achieve his Premeirship goals.
Motta is absent from the Brazilian squad in the Copa America currently taking place in Venezuela, as the choice to play for Brazil was made over playing for Italy, right from 2003 when he played for Brazil in the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Thiago Motta still believes FC Barcelona should overlook any remaining months in his contract, as a reward for his loyal service to the Barcelona. Thiago has played for only FC Barcelona since his soccer career in the top leagues began in 2001 after a stint in the Barcelona B team for two years where he netted 19 goals and has scored 9 times for Barcelona A team.

Injury and an inceasingly competitve Barca midfield other players in the midfield has keep Thiago Motta out of action for Barca.
