Milito's mother directs her son's attention to Camp Nou.


Real Zaragoza and Argentine defender, Gabriel Milito already has a strong Barca fan in his family in the person of his mother, Mirta Milito.
Mirta has an open love and passion for FC Barcelona and wants her gifted son to play for the Catalan giants. Mirta says:

I prefer that Gabi plays for Barcelona. I wish this will come to pass. It is a very important period in his career. Barcelona are a great club and I like the city, the fans and the team. We are going to have to wait as nothing has been finalised, but hopefully

there is a strong possibility that it will happen.
Asked on the option of Milito joining Real Madrid, Mirta Milito rejects the idea completely:

No, not Madrid. Gabi should not go to there. If the decision were left to me alone to make, then Gabi will never play for Real Madrid.

Milito and his family were very disappointed with Real Madrid after a move by Gabi to the Madrid outfit was checkmated at the last minute by Madrid’s medical team who claimed the strong defender had problems with his knee. Gabriel milito has since gone on to play over 130 games for Zaragoza and many times for his country Argentina as well.

Only 2 Million Euros now seem to stop an almost certain move for Gabriel from Real Zaragoza to FC Barcelona, as Zaragoza want 18 Million Euros ahead of Barca’s 16 Million Euros.
