Javier Saviola's Real Madrid move now through.
FC Barcelona's talented goalscorer, Javier Saviola has reportedly agreed to join Barca's arch-rivals, Real Madrid on a free transfer. Bernd Schuster, the new coach of Real Madrid says that Madrid will hope to exploit the anger inside Javier Saviola as the 25 year-old Argentine striker left Camp Nou an unhappy man, stating he wasn't being given enough playing time at the Catalan club. Saviola is eager to prove that he is still one of the best strikers in the La Liga. Schuster says:

The Madrid fans were happy when Saviola's signing was announced. The fact that Saviola has a point to prove to his former club is a good source of motivation that will work in our favour.
Speaking on the transfer of Saviola, Schuster says :

The deal for Saviola was completed before I came to Madrid but opted to announce it as I have assumed duty here. Saviola is a youthful player, strong and good at goal scoring. He has a lot to offer.
Javier Saviola, who was voted the South American Footballer of The Year in 1999, came to real global limelight after setting a new FIFA age-group soccer competition record by scoring 11 goals including two hattricks in one tournament, being the FIFA U-20 World Cup hosted by Argentina in 2001. Saviola has scored 68 goals for Barcelona, the club he joined after the Youth World Cup, having played for Argentine club River Plate, where he scored 44 goals in 86 appearances.
