I tell you what guys

You have a fantastic football club, and one that over the years I had a bit of a softspot for.

But unfortunately over the last few years, your actions off the field in trying to unsettle and illegally approach Managers, Coaches, Players, Tea-ladies etc has shown what a corrupt bunch of un-sporting tossers you have become. I remember a few years ago saying that I really hoped that Barca would not drop down to the same un-sporting level as Real, but sorry guys you have over-taken them.

Despite how many times Cesc comes out and says he is an Arsenal Player, Loves the Club and has no intention to leave, you still seem to use the likes of Marca as a front to try to unsettle him.

Maybe you should look within first, after all it was Barca's incompetence that made him leave in the 1st place

I really hope for the sake of your club, that when it comes to re-election, you choose a President that will try to restore the respect the rest of the footballing world no longer has for you.

tell you what that messi is a good player though :)

Barcelona are not at any fault here. The story wasn't originated by us. I don't really see the essence of this anger being directed at us here in Barca. Why not at goal.com or at Marca sport ?

well said pat the gooner. i always kept barca in high regards, simliar to the arse in terms of a more gentlemans football club, now they are the same media/tapping up whores ala chelsea, real....a shame but then fuck it because if they are so obsessed with our players then we must be doing something right! arsene knows

because i think you will find that these stories come out of the barca pr dept....how many more EX gooners will you buy? cesc is too young for you, your normal trick is to buy them off us for them then never recapture that quality that they had with us. you know the rules.....e.g overmars,petit,gio.....titi....have you ever know a player with sciatic nerve problems that has got BETTER?doubt it

I still say it's not a Barca problem. Attack the other media reporters including those there in England. About obsession, English Leaguers ar obsesed with Spanish players, and Barca players especially. Have a look.. Cesc and merida from Barca to Arsenal, pique to Man U, Pacheco to Liverpool, the lsit can go on and on...not forgetting the Arsenal lust after Eto'o and Man U for Ronaldinho...who knows who will be chasing Messi soon?

I used to admire your club (I never liked Franco's Madrid), but the way you use your mouthpieces in what passes for the printed media in Spain to unsettle our players is disgraceful. Simply trying to palm off responsibility for this conduct on to Marca or whatever toilet rag wants to print crap about Fabgregas does not in anyway absolve your club of any culpability for these 'rumours'. Johnny, your point about Cesc and Merida is wholly inaccurate; your league's regulations were exploited by us, but the way your club has its media puppets and its players drop hints about which players they'd love to play with in your scabourous press is completely different. It's just an informal method of tapping up players contracted to other clubs, thereby, in theory, but not morally, absolving these clubs of any responsibility. If you don't believe your club has nothing to do with these 'rumours' then you need to check your head, mate. Your club had Cesc in the b team, you couldn't even see his quality and now you want him? Take a running jump, my friend. I now can't stand Barca; I've never liked 'Royal' madrid; hala Sevilla!

The Cesc story is crap, anyone can see that. I'm sick of Marca and As, but the Catalan papers are just as bad.

As for Valdes, he's like Puyol, brilliant! All-action. I love that he has to commentate on matches to retain his attention levels.

Madrid have made a mess of things again (thank God), while Barca have bought well. Roll on next season.

Watching a re-run of the Copa America semi-final, Messi is playing well, can't wait to see this goal I've read about. Who will stop the Blaugrana next year?

By the way, is that the real Jimmy Jump further down the page?

Oh, shut up, you're so annoying. If it's from AS and Marca don't report it, just ignore it and keep the newsfeeds free of your tiresome 'Wenger to Barca and will bring Emirates Stadium and Elvis Presley with him' level no-story posts.

Barca had respect in world football once for the way they played. Now they are just as bad as Madrid. Continually using the media to try and unsettle other sides players.

It's disgraceful, shows a total lack of class.

Yep - my thoughts exactly. I have always loved Barca, the way they play the game and what they have stood for. But over the past couple of season I really have been disappointed in the way they are doing business. Its no good saying its the press not the club putting this stuff out, any football journalist will tell you that this is becoming the accepted way of doing business for the big clubs in Spain.

Its like politics, where one political group briefs against another.. Club officials brief favoured journalists, leak to the media, make off the record comments designed to destabilise a player. Its designed to annoys the fans and the club and give the target player the feeling that things are going sour and they have noting to lose in moving to the club that are waiting to greet them with open arms.

I'm not sure what its like for Barca fans but Arsenal fans see their team as family, unlike clubs like Chelsea where mercenaries are bought for huge amounts and sold on when it doesn't work out, we cheer our players as they come through the ranks, the youth games, the Tuesday night cup games, all the way to (if they are luck enough) to the first team. (Which is, as Pat points out what should have happened with Cesc at Barca in the first place). We don't boo players if they are taking a while to settle into the club or having a bad game, we encourage them, support them, As Reyes said in one of his more lucid moments, 'even when I'm having a bad game the supporters sing my name and applaud me'. So when you start with your dirty tricks, yeah! it really hurts because you are messing with our family!

Regardless of fan rivalries, football is special because of the unwritten rules, both on the pitch and off. We all know what is the right way to behave, what is the decent way to behave and we all hate it when a club (or player) ignores those rules- even if it our own club or player behaving badly. I really hope Barce get back on their pedestal and restore some respect the club - and I really mean that because Barcelona are special and they should know better.
