Ex-Barcelona star, Giuly completes all formalities at AS Roma.

Former Barca player Ludovic Giuly, has passed his medicals at Roma and is has commenced training with the Serie A outfit. Giuly was transferred to the Italian outfit after choosing Roma ahead of many other clubs in the English Premiership and the French Lique One. Transfer mediator, Ernesto Bronzetti said :

Giuly refused offers from six other clubs who were willing to spend up to 10 Million Euros for his services, but he chose Roma. The difference between the request and the offer was down to 320,000 Euros and things were stalled at that point, so I opted to give up on my fee to allow the player to sign.

Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Marseille and Monaco were all top clubs who wanteed to sign the French star, but Giuly changed his mind at the last minute, initially saying he wanted to remain at Barca, but later meeting with the Barcelona club officials, then deciding to head for Rome in a 3.2 million Euro transfer initial deposit and a later payment of up to 1.2 Million Euros.

Giuly will train at Trigoria in Rome with fellow Roma players who also include his former teammates in the French League. The creative 31 year-old is expected to feauture prominently in Roma's scheme of affairs this season as the Romanista aim to topple Serie Champions, Inter Milan as Italian League winners this season.
