Nagging left knee injury keeps Gudjohnsen at bay.

Eidur Gudjohnsen will not be travelling with FC barcelona to Scotland after the Icelandic star has been placed on strict observation by the Barelona medical team following a hit on Guddy's lrft knee during training. Eidur, who has been in the news lately following reported links to Newcastle and a return to the English premiership, has been excluded from the FC Barcelona team which has already arrived Scotland in preparation for the tour of Scotland. After the tour, Barca shall prepare for the Asian tour, but the Barcelona medical team will have to examine Gudjohnsen to see if the striker is fit to play in the Asian games.
Gudjohnsen will be undergoing treatment and more examinations to ensure the forward has an injury-free report card ahead of the new season. Eidur's fututre is still in doubt as FC Barcelona and Newcastle united are the two likely clubs that the Iceland International will find himself in next season. When the injury situation is cleared, a decision on Gudjohnsen's future will be taken.
