Deco Anderson vouches for FC Barcelona.


Despite numerous speculations about leaving to either Inter Milan or Newcastle, FC Barcelona's midfielder, Deco still has his eyes set in Camp Nou for now. Deco has maintained he intends to remain at Barcelona and possibly finish his contract at Camp Nou. The Portuguese star said :

Barcelona is a great club and I am happy there. Playing for such a great club would make any player proud, but Barcelona are just as great, and they are the club I always dreamed I’d play for. I won’t leave Barcelona, unless they decide they want to let me go.

Deco however mentioned he will like to play at the English Premiership at sometime in the future, saying:

The English Premiership is an obvious attraction to players world wide, and in my opinion, the Spanish League and the English Premiership are the two best leagues in the world. I will like to play in both before ending my career.

Barca's President, Joan Laporta said of Deco :

He is still in Barcelona. Deco is not up for sale. He is a player who can contribute much to the team, and is not on the market.
