Barca's midfielder Thiago Motta, today heads to Italy to have a feel of his other side.

Thiago Motta is being linked with a 5 Million Euro move to Fiorentina as the Italo-Brazilian midfielder searches for a firm footing in a good club next season, should he choose to leave FC Barcelona. Motta has been at the centre of transfers talks this summer and may not be used on regular basis by Barca next season should he decide to stay. Barcelona have encouraged Motta to hold talks with prospective clubs who are interested in the former junior team player, but Thiago seems not too willing to leave Barca, a club the midfielder has played for all through his career, rising from the ranks of the junior team to the seniors. Motta feels that Barcelona should show their encouragement for his exit talks by making him a free gant, even though the Brazilian national team player still has a year left on his contract stay in Camp Nou. Thiago believes the best way to reward him for his long and loyal service to the Blaugrana will be to make things easy for him to leave, but the fears that this may trigger other similar demands from exiting players but now and in the future is holding back FC Barcelona officials from granting Motta's request, choosing rather to wait for cash offers with which full co-operation in negotiations will be given accordingly.
