The trio of Ronaldinho, Kaka and Robinho may be called to save their country from an embarrassing record. Brazil is indeed a great footballing nation, winning all trophies and championships in sight, except one, which is the Olympic football championship and gold medal. This blemish on the intimidating records of the South American pace-setters have made the world cup champions list winning the 2008 Olympic gold medal a priority, especially after FIFA president, Sepp Blatter blatantly told Brazilian football authority President, Ricardo Teixeria that winning the Olympic games football championship should be made a prime objective for Brazil.
To this end, Brazil plans to use the three senior team players to fill the three slots allowed for Olympic games teams, which ordinarily should feature only players below the age of 23. Also, the Olmpics run during the summer of 2008 and will be a convenient tune up for the awesome treasome as they await the commencement of the season after, expecialy as none of them will particpate in the Euro 2008 championships same year. Brazil is hoping to host the 2014 world cup and wants to use a successful Olympic games campaign as a good platform to strengthen its hosting campaign.
