Having secured a thrid victory in three games so far, Barca's players are filled with praise and optimism.


FC Barcelona players have commented after the match against Gouan Beijing, with Giovanni Dos Santos, Anders iniesta and debutant, Oier Olazabal all expressing themselves. Dos Santos, who has been in very impressive form from the first day he set foot in Camp Nou, is in high spirits and now aims to improve his game and become a dominant force in the Blaugrana team network. The young and talented Mexican said :

I was very comfortable on the pitch. Thanks to my teammates. My colleagues helped me a lot and I have to keep working like that. I am very motivated. I am at the best club in Europe and it is a dream come true to play for the first team. I will work very hard to make the most of my chances and help the team get some wins this season. I have always compared myself to Messi but he is a football superstar and I am just starting. Of course I’d like to be like him one day. Ronaldinho has always been my hero, he is a world superstar. I hope to learn a lot from him this season, and one day be as good as he is.

Creative midfielder Andres Iniesta was full of praises for new player Toure Yaya, also reflecting on the weather and on his own new shirt number as well :

Touré is a good player with a strong physical presence. In the position he plays, he is important for the two inside players because he lightens the workload.He's a master of the ball, and that’s very important when it comes to playmaking. The weather is nothing like it was there. It wears you out a lot more, but it’s good because adverse conditions help with preparation. I was sad to swap 24 for 8 because it’s the number I first had in the first team and I have won important titles wearing it. I hope the number 8 brings me as much luck as 24 did. In big teams there are always foreigners, big stars. I don’t see it as pressure, but motivation to keep growing as a player.

New keeper Oier Olazabal was ecstatic about his frist appearance in a mcth for FC Barcelona, saying :

My debut was incredible. Juan Carlos Unzúe told me about it at midday. They first said I would be going to the camp and on tour but that I was not going to get to play, then later, things changed.

Olazabal will provide back up for first choice keeper, Victor valdes as the new season heats up.
