Javier plans a come-back to the Argentine national team.

After scoring his second goal for Real Madrid, former FC Barcelona striker, Javier Saviola has revealed why he left Barca. Saviola, who was out of favour in the Blaugrana, left amid complaints of dessertion from the Barca team officials. Saviola said:

I left Barca because I wanted to come back into full flight soccer action in the international scene. If I continue to play well, I will return to the Argentine national team. I want to return to the national team. I couldn't play in the Copa América, but I would like to return soon. I was a member of the team for a long time and I would like to play for it again.
In Real madrid, I feel I have a better chance to do that.

Saviola then revealed he had always loved Real Madrid, saying he was attracted to Madrid when fellow Argentine compatriot, Jorge Valdano was in charge of affairs at the Bernabeu, and when players like Argentine star, Fernando Redondo was the backbone of the Spanish side.

The 25-year old Argentine, who had earlier denied reports from this site that he was bound for Real Madrid, hoped to achieve his aspirations at his new club and to come back into active duty for his home country soon.
