French super star warms up to affairs in Camp Nou.


Thierry Henry appeared with Lilian Thuram in Beijing press centre. The occassion was the second press conferenceof the new season from the French super star and Barca attention attractor. Henry, clearly happy iwth the journey so far with his new team, spoke on his impressions so far:

The expereince in Beijing was wonderful. It was the first time I was in the starting line up but it was also the third game in which I played 45 minutes. I am very impressed with the attitude of all the players at Barca. I observe that everyone goes out to win.

Speaking on the calibre of players in FC Barcelona and the general psyche currently in the squad, Thierry says:

Player quality is high. A lot of the players here have won some major titles. But when you play for Barça, you want to win everything. And we are working to do that, but we know it won’t be easy. I am working hard to get back to full fitness, and there is a great team of fitness coaches with me. The squad is very tightly knit, we are all highly committed. We have a great side both in and out of the dressing room.

Asked on the prospect of playing together with the other three forward stars of the Blaugrana, namely Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi, Henry smiles and says:

Well, there are certainly some high quality players around me, and that makes me feel enthusiastic.
