Milito sure of winning titles while preparing to welcome colleagues from Asia.


Gabriel Milito is now comfortable in FC Barcelona and granted an interview at the Camp Nou press room, highlighting his views and impressions. Gaby is in active training with Lionel Messi and Rafa Marquez, the trio which have had extended holidays and exemptions from the Barcelona tour of Asia in order to allow them adequate rest after particiaption in the just ended Copa America. Milito is looking forward to re-uniting with the rest of the Blaugrana players who will be back in Camp Nou on Monday after concluding the pre-season Asian tour. Gabriel says :

I am really looking forward to training with the rest of the team, and the time is drawing nearer. Next Monday I will join the rest of the group and the nicest part will begin. But we have been working hard this week on our fitness and we will soon be in the same kind of shape as the players that started a little earlier. We shouldn’t make comparisons at this stage of the season, because that makes no sense, we just have to get ready for the coming season and the many iisues at stake and challenges ahead. So far, we are on the track.

Expressing confidence in the new Barcelona squad, Milito says:

I think we have players in every department. It is not easy to get players like Eto’o, Henry, Ronaldinho and Messi, but luckily we have. But everybody has to contribute what they can from their position. We are a team, and for a team to work well, we have to work hard in every department.

The new season will be filled with new challenges as teams all across Europe are strengthening. High expectations are coming from all football watchers who expect FC Barcelona to achieve a lot this season. To thi Gaby says :

Barça always has to try to win everything and the Champions League is a highly prestigious tournament, where all the best teams play. We have a very good team and we can do it. But we must take things in their right order or else we make mistakes.
