Barca forward Gudjohnsen's future continues to dangle to and fro.
FC Barcelona's official, Txiki Begiristain has commented on the transfer stalemate concerning Barca's Icelandic striker, Eidur Gudjohnsen, who is not gauranted a place in the Blaugrana line up for next season. Txiki says:

Gudjohnsen may wish to stay or to leave, but in my opinion, to stay wouldn't be the best decision. His transfer is an option. If he stays he could find it difficult to play many minutes because there are three new forwards in the first team.
Gudjohnsen has been in the thick of interests in the transfer market, and has recently been linked to English Premiership sides like West Ham and Newcastle United. Scottish side Celtic United also indicated interest. Eidur initially wanted to stay back at Camp Nou, then later decided to leave to a second coming in the English Premiership, before his father and Agent, Arnor, stepped into the exit door to reverse his son's decision, urging Eidur to stay on in Barca and fight for a place alongside star strikers like Thierry Henry, Samuel Eto'o, Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho and new sensations, Giovanni Dos Santos and Bojan Krkic.
