Barca gives Joan Gamper tournament more life and excitement with more programmes line-up.


The 42nd edition of the Trofeo Joan Gamper tournament will be different in many regards. There will be more fun, more entertainment, more activities and of course, more stars to paint the football evening bright with glorious performnaces on August 29 at 22:00. The gates to the stadium forecourt will open at 18:00 and the turnstiles will then be opened an hour later, at 19:00. From then until kick off time, the public will be able to enjoy seeing shows, bands and take part in different spectacles. The following will also take place on the concourse next to the training pitch in front of La Masia:

The activities will continue on the pitch too as the FC Barcelona players will be introduced to the crowd before a selection of people from different countries will sing the Barça hymn while an acrobatic dancer performs. Between 18:00 and 21:00 on Wednesday, August 29 there will be a photographic exhibition on display from the Fundación FC Barcelona. Entitled 'Life and hopes of children with AIDS in Swaziland' the set of photos will introduce part of the programme that is taking place between the Fundación and UNICEF. The photos were taken by Mallorquin photographer, Pep Bonet. On the day of the Trofeo Joan Gamper, the exhibition will be situated on the main stand.
