Barcelona officials move against Roman Abramovich transfer enquiry and talks.


FC Barcelona's sports director, Txiki Bergiristain has reacted to reports linking Chelsea billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich with a private meeting with Ronaldinho's agent and brother to seal a quick deal for the FC Barcelona super star. Txiki, while underlining Barcelona's position in the matter, enthused that:

In this aspect the decision of Barcelona is clear. Ronaldinho is not leaving.We do not want to sell him. Ronaldinho is our player and I am totally convinced that he will remain at the club. It is normal that any of the big clubs in the world desires Ronaldinho, but he has signed a deal with us.

When asked to comment on the meetings between Ronaldinho's agent and brother with Chelsea billionaire, Roman Abramovich, Txiki said:

It is an issue left for both parties to sort out. They are free to have meetings, but we have our position in Barcelona already determined.
