FC Barcelona's president, Joan Laporta, has hailed his magic man Ronaldinho as the star of stars at Barca.
The Barca club boss explained that much of Barcelona's image and appeal is linked to the talented Brazilian superstar. This comes in response to lots of media rumble over the double substitution the Brazilian marvel has experienced in the last two matches for the Blaugrana. Against Osasuna, Ronaldinho was substituted by Xavi in the 66th minute, while the Brazilian was also replaced by Andres Iniesta in the Champions League match against Olympique Lyon .This sent tounges wagging that coach Frank Rijkaard has not made the right decision and is undermining the importance of Ronaldinho, or as some put it, indirectly telling Ronnie that he needs to improve in his game. After the Champions League match with Lyon, Joan Laporta has stepped in to clarify issues:

Ronaldinho is the first person everyone thinks of when they consider this team. Ronnie needs all our support because he is a player that can thrill, has incredible quality and is a magical player. We are a team and everyone players their part. The coach makes the decisions that he feels are right.
Many feel that the substitution is due to tactical reasons, as the coach wouldn't want to over labour his prized striker, choosing to secure the feet of the talented Brazilian for future encounters, the next of which is against Sevilla FC in the La Liga on Saturday.
