Wenger opens up on last discussion with Thierry Henry.
Arsenal’s coach, Arsene Wenger has revealed why his erstwhile striker Thierry Henry left the North London club after last season. Wenger explained that he had a conversation with Henry prior to the Barca star’s departure, and understood that Thierry needed to locate a new environment which had players in his peer group and experience bracket, considering the fact that the present Arsenal team was built around a certain psych. Wenger said:

I completely understood Henry’s position. I believed our present team would be strong very soon, but I also understood that Henry needed to move on. David Dein’s departure also influenced his decision to leave.
Thierry Henry’s departure was the most publicized transfer of the summer, with Arsenal fans and management uncertain about the club’s fate and pondering on what a post-Henry life in Arsenal will be like.
The French goal king signed for Catalan giants, FC Barcelona in a sensational move, and has since scored his first official goal for the club.
