Joan Laporta praises the Blaugrana while urging more caution during international matches.

FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has sustained the rising in confidence in Camp Nou after the Catalan giants roared to their sixth consecutive victory in six matches with a 3-0 dismantling of Atletico de Madrid on Sunday in the La Liga match day 7. The result put Barca firmly in the second position of the La Liga table, two points ahead of the third placed team, Villarreal. Laporta praised coach Rijkaard and the entire team:

I am happy with the game we played and the victory we have achieved. We were able to impose our game plan on the opponents, despite Atletico's good start. My praises to coach Rijkaard and the entire team. We have been able to regain our form.

Joan Laporta went ahead to highlight the issue of injuries in Camp Nou. Injuries were largely responsible for the goalless draw against Osasuna, a match that Argentine star Lionel Messi missed due to a knock sustained while playing for Argentina against Australia in an international friendly. Ronaldinho also returned from Brazil's international friendly with an injury that kept him out of consecutive matches. Laporta advised the super stars of FC Barcelona to be more careful and less aggressive when playing international matches, as many injuries have resulted in the process:

Injuries are not good for us, and moreso if picked up when the players are not on duty for Barca. I hope that our players give only a measure of themselves, as in the last international round we had injury worries. This will not help our cause in any way.
