Titi says parting ways with Arsenal was a carefully though over decision which is now beneficial to both parties.
FC Barcelona striker Thierry Henry agrees that his coming to Barca was the best thing for both he and his old club Arsenal FC. The French man, speaking after he equaled Michel Platini's goal scoring record for France, explained that he had reached a stage in Arsenal when his stature and image became larger than life and an intimidation to the younger players who formed the bulk of the new Arsenal squad. Henry implied that had he stayed on, Arsenal may not be enjoying the fluidity among its new players and he will not be enjoying the fluidity of football he is currently enjoying at FC Barcelona, where the goal king has been in very impressive form, either scoring or setting up goals. Thierry said:

Comments were made about my absence being somewhat helpful to the young Arsenal squad. I agreed with them completely. Because of my seniority, the fact that I was captain and my habit of screaming for the ball, they would sometimes give it to me even when I was not in the best position. So in that sense it was good for the team that I moved on. I'm also finding new rythm in Barcelona, so in essence, my leaving has helped both me and Arsenal.
Thierry Henry left North London for Camp Nou last summer, after breaking lots of goal records
with the Gunners.
