It's time up for AC Milan's officials as the Get Ronnie saga draws to a close - hopefully !


AC Milan's president, Silvio Berlusconi is no longer setting his mind on getting FC Barcelona's Ronaldinho. The Italian boss is prepared to be patient and wait for fate and fortune to smile on him and let his Ronnie wishes come true, if it ever will. Berlusconi said in admittance that though he knows Ronaldinho is not leaving Barcelona right now or anytime soon, he's still prepared to wait:

Ronaldinho will not be sold by Barca. There are certain players who are only sold for the economic needs of their clubs. But what I can say is that, should there come a day when Ronaldinho is up for sale, Milan will be at the front of the queue.

Berlusconi also clarified the suggestions that came into the media in which he was said to have proposed a Kaka - Ronaldinho switch between AC milan and FC Barcelona, maintaining that Kaka was going no where out of AC Milan:

Kaka is doing well with us, and he's never expressed any wish of leaving, and he'll continue to wear the colours of Milan with pride. I was only joking when I was speaking with the Barcelona president Joan Laporta and I suggested, in jest, that they could allow Ronaldinho to play for a year in Milan and, the following year, I'd permit Kaka to go to Barcelona alongside Ronaldinho.
