Speaking in his post-match comments, Frank Rijkaard has praises for the Catalan giants and desire to see more goals.

FC Barcelona's coach Frank Rijkaard has expressed satisfaction after the brilliant Barca players destroyed Glasgow Rangers with fantastic football. However, the Dutchman says the fans would have been more pleased if they had seen more goals, as it was clearly seen that FC Barcelona could have gotten as many as five goals or more. A proud and elated Rijkaard was feeling confident when he spoke with the press after the Champions League encounter. The Barca manager said:

I'm very pleased with the goals. It was important to score early on. Rangers played with a lot of defenders and therefore it was more difficult. We showed a good attitude and mentality. I wish it could have been a bigger win because the fans deserved to see more goals.

When asked on the substitution of Ronaldinho and the exclusion of Marquez, Rijkaard said:

Ronaldinho is looking better with every game, but there are a lot of games to come and it is always good if he can preserve his energy. Marquez was withdrawn and replaced by Thuram beacuse in the warm-up, it was observed he was in pain, so we quickly had to call on Thuram as replacement.
